Foster Fuels is looking for a Supply Chain Manager who will be accountable for effectively managing procurement of fuel and tracing activities. The Supply Chain Manager will ensure and maintain efficient inventory levels to allow us to meet customer needs through maintaining effective relationships with terminal managers and vendors and utilizing forecasting systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Utilize forecasting/planning/allocation systems to order product and ensure smooth flow from terminals to customer locations
  • Meet daily with dispatchers to to discuss product demand and allocation of products to determine need
  • Develop and maintain positive and effective relationships with vendors to facilitate timely and accurate processing of orders and delivery of product
  • Establish effective relationships with terminal managers
  • Understand and action key daily reports such as inactive inventory, daily out of stocks, and forecast exceptions
  • Utilize reporting tools to identify opportunities to improve service levels, reduce inventory and increase efficiency
  • Maintain inventory of bulk storage facilities
  • Resolve issues that come up such as delays in deliveries and accidents
  • Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management
  • 5 years minimum experience in the fuel industry or supply chain management
  • Flexible, detail oriented, strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong work ethic, and a pleasant and trustworthy demeanor

Preferred Skills:

  • Class A CDL with X endorsements
